TREESTARS SEEDBANK THRIVES on exclusively.
Born out out of a drive to be independently successful, the company’s owner, a grower for 17 years with a background in clones, knew he would have to hustle to build Treestars stock. Building relationships with breeders at conventions while knowing that branding and reputation were everything. Treestars has been able to grow into a high-end bank, offering a small batch boutique seeds,clones and flowers that you can’t get anywhere else.
Owner “Tree”, as he is known started as a grower 17 years ago. Growing Bubba Kush in Texas. “That was our staple strain, that was what everybody knew us for-Bubba Kush-back then”, Tree says.
After a storm prompted a transformer cherk by the local fire department, Tree’s underground operation was uncovered. After getting through the legal battle. Tree sold everything and with just a duffle bag and grow equipment in hand, he moved out to California where he started working on a farm. There, he helped with growing, trimming, and building huge greenhouses for California’s now legal market. He also started selling clones, his first foray into the genetics and propagation side of growing.
“We became one of the biggest seeds, clones sellers that everyone knows in SoCal,” Tree says, “We always had the right cuts, seeds, and what everybody wanted”.
While selling clones, Tree would often get requests for seeds, which he sourced from a friend of his at no cost. But soon he wanted to expand his business, selling seeds that he had cultivated from other growers and breeders and starting his own seedbank.

Thus, Treestar Seedbank was born, sporting a logo purposely reminiscent of the treestar that little foot searched for in the beloved land Before time children’s movie series.

Tree started at shows and conventions, standing in long lines trying to get as much FaceTime with the attending breeders and buy as much of their show-exclusive seeds to resale, building the boutique and small-batch flair that the company still boasts.

Now, with solid relationships with many high-end breeders. Tree and his team are looking to expand their options and continue to build a high-end boutique experience for their customers. While they currently carry seeds, Vape cartridges, and apparel. Tree says they are about to drop exclusive clones once again.

The owner also knows that a good customer experience is paramount for a successful business, especially a seed bank where competition is a lot higher than before.

“I’m not just trying to get your money this one time” the Tree says, I’m trying to build that relationship, build that customer base, and have repeat customers-not just one-time customers”.

TreeStars carries exclusive drops from more than 40 breeders including twenty20 Mendocino, Lit Farms, In House Genetics, Cookies and up-and-coming brand StarFire Genetics who soon be releasing a lineup of primo phenotypes and cultivars. They buy their seeds directly from the breeders, guaranteeing that the genetic lines are true and pure.
